Kuida Family Photos
1930s - 1940s
In the 1930s, the Kuida's lived on a cantaloupe farm in Canoga Park/Winnetka area of the San Fernando Valley. The farm was owned by an Italian family. In 1942, after Executive Order 9066 was signed by President Roosevelt, the Kuida's were sent to Gila River Concentration Camp, where they lived during World War 2. After the war, they moved to the Crenshaw area of Los Angeles.
